What Makestry does

You tell us the part you need made: the process, the material, the batch size and the region. We give you a shortlist of UK suppliers that state they do that work. You can send the brief by email and we reply, or answer a short form and see the shortlist on screen at once.

Each fact on a shortlist comes with where it is published, the date we read it and who says so. What we could not find is marked unknown.

The shortlist from the form opens at a private link for 30 days. The form asks for no email address, and we send you nothing.

What Makestry does not do

A fact a supplier states about itself is not a certification. Nothing on a shortlist is a promise of quality, capacity, price or delivery.

The order is alphabetical. It is not a ranking, and no supplier pays to appear.

Shortlists cover CNC milling and turning in small batches from suppliers in the UK. A supplier missing from a shortlist has not been judged.

Lead times and availability change. Each fact is true as of its date, not as of today.

What it costs

There is no charge for a first shortlist.

What to leave out

Leave out drawings, part numbers and anything confidential. The form has nowhere to type, and four lines are enough for a brief by email.

If your company is on a shortlist

You can ask to see what a shortlist says about your company. Write to hello@makestry.com. We correct what is wrong, and we remove the record if you ask.

What we keep

What Makestry keeps about people, why, for how long and how to have it deleted is in the privacy notice at makestry.com/privacy. These terms add nothing to it.

Through an assistant

An assistant you use can send the answers to the form "Get a supplier shortlist" for you, through our connector.

What we keep of a request made that way is in the privacy notice.

The company that makes the assistant handles your conversation under its own terms. They are not ours.
